A Woman of a Certain Age

“Woman Of A Certain Age” features ten, deeply personal, take no prisoners, songs co-produced by Nashville legend Verlon Thompson (Guy Clark’s guitarist and co-writer for more than 30 years) and Austin Atwood (Gnome Recording Studios, Nashville).  The production enabled Lyman’s songs to speak for themselves, a formidable accomplishment considering the depth of talent that contributed to the project.  Supporting Lyman’s stark vocals and singular guitar style are Verlon Thompson on guitar and bass, The Steel Drivers' Tammy Rogers on fiddle and mandolin, Michael Webb of Poco on keys and accordion.  Even Gretchen Peters and Barry Walsh chimed in on harmony and accordion for a couple of tunes. Not too shabby.
